The Health Care Administration track with a concentration in Healthcare Management degree provides a theoretical and philosophical foundation to principles of management and administration specific to the health field. Students in the program expand their knowledge of healthcare administration/management to include skills and techniques required for managerial positions in a broad spectrum of medical, administrative, financial, and managerial long term care and other healthcare facilities.

Program Requirements

In order to complete the degree in Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a Concentration in Health Care Administration, the student has to complete a total of 120 semester credits

  •  General Education (45 credits)
  •  Major/Core Requirements (51 credits)
  •  Electives (24 credits)

The time it will take to complete the BSHS degree can vary. The duration of the program depends on several factors, including the number of credits accepted for transfer and whether or not students take time off between courses.

Students who enroll full-time 12 credits per semester (for six terms/sessions which is 3 semesters each academic year) can complete the degree in three and a half (3-1/2) years.

Transfer credits: Up to a maximum of 90 semester credits may be transferred to fulfill the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences program requirements. A minimum of 30 semester credits from the program major courses must be completed at the Touro University Worldwide.

Admission Requirements

Students seeking enrollment in the health science program must meet one of the following criteria to be considered for admission:

  • High school graduate
  • Successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test
  • Transfer student from an accredited college or university in good academic standing
