There is an increased need for leaders in the Human Service sector. The online Master of Science in Human Services is designed to provide graduates with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to excel in careers in the large and growing areas of Human Services, in all types of nonprofit, private, public and government & Military organizations.
The Master of Science in Human Services at TUW is offered 100% online, requires 36 semester credits and can be completed in one year as fulltime students. The Master of Science in Human Services will offer opportunities for professionals to hone their academic skillsets and provide new students with opportunities to pursue a variety of human services careers that are directly related to individuals, communities, and social service organizations.
The program blends theoretical and applied concepts. The curriculum includes professional communications in human services, theories of behavior in human services, professional ethics, non-profit management, financial decision making, research methods for Human services, and program development and evaluation in human services. The culmination of real world experiences for the current and future human services professionals provides a solid foundation for both professional and new students to human services.
The Master’s in Human Services is a non-licensure degree and is not intended for those seeking mental health licensure or the practice of mental health counseling. (For an online counseling degree, see the graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy).

Tuition Information
TUW’s tuition is $500 per semester credit. Students must complete 12 courses, 11 standard courses and one three-credit capstone (last course taken in the program) for a total of 36 credits.
Admissions Requirements
Students seeking to attend TUW must meet one of the following criteria to be considered for admission:

- Have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
- Transfer student from another college/university’s graduate program in good academic standing (minimum GPA of 2.75).
