WE ARE YOU
At Touro University Worldwide (TUW), we have always believed that our alumni are more than just graduates, they are the heartbeat of our community. You are the dreamers, the leaders, the change-makers and the ones’ who are forging the way for students who are looking for strong examples of what can be. The memories you created and the lessons you learned while you were here are carried with you as you continue to shape the world in your own unique ways. And though time may have passed since you walked across the stage, the bond we share remains unbreakable.
We are you; whether you were here a few years ago or a few decades ago, your experiences are woven into the fabric of our history. From the classroom to the campus events, from the friendships you forged to the challenges you overcame, we share a common thread. These moments continue to define us as a community, connecting us across time and distance, no matter where life has, or will take you.
However, it is not just about the past. It is about the present and the future. Our alumni continue to build on the foundation they created here, bringing the knowledge, values, and resilience they gained from their time at TUW into the world. Whether you are leading groundbreaking research, running successful businesses, serving communities, or raising the next generation, we see you and we are proud of all you have accomplished.
Every success story, every milestone reached, is a testament to the strength of TUW spirit that lives within you. We are continually inspired by the incredible work our alumni are doing nationwide and around the world, making a difference and blazing new trails. You embody the values we hold dear: curiosity, personal drive, compassion, fortitude and a drive for excellence. In everything you do.
As we look to the future, we invite you to stay connected with us as you continue to make an impact in this ever-changing wonderful world of ours. Whether you share your story, offer mentorship, or support the next wave of students who will follow in your footsteps, we want you to know that your journey doesn’t end with graduation, it never does…graduation enriches the story and continues the evolution of your success in ways that only you can share with others.
We are you, the students, the alumni, the community. Together, we are a global network of TUW graduates who continue to inspire, lead, and change the world. No matter where you are, no matter how far we may be apart, we will always be a part of you. And you will always be a part of us.
With pride and excitement,

Dr. Gregory Lyons, PsyD, LCPC
Touro University Worldwide Alumnus
Dr. Gregory Lyons, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing in Colorado, Nevada, and Utah. His work integrates clinical counseling, creativity, and reflective practice, shaped by both his academic training and his identity as a working artist who paints, sculpts, and works with other personal expressive techniques. He views creativity not simply as artistic expression, but as a way of thinking that supports empathy, flexibility, and meaningful problem-solving in therapeutic settings.
Dr. Lyons earned his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with an emphasis in Licensed Clinical Counseling, and his Doctorate in Human and Organizational Counseling from Touro University Worldwide, graduating Summa cum laude. He describes his experience at Touro as instrumental in shaping his professional philosophy, which centers on holistic client care and evidence-based interventions, and guiding his clinical direction toward collaborative family therapy models. This approach emphasizes building strong rapport with clients, practicing unconditional positive regard, and tailoring applicable therapeutic techniques to meet individual needs, fostering resilience and meaningful change. The academic rigor and honors he achieved at Touro further reinforce his commitment to professional excellence and ongoing growth in the counseling field.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lyons has worked with individuals, adolescents, couples, families, and groups across a range of clinical needs and life circumstances. His therapeutic approach draws from multiple modalities, including Art and Creative Arts Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Sensorimotor approaches, Gestalt therapy, and holistic psychotherapy. He emphasizes tailoring care to each individual, recognizing that effective therapy must be responsive to personal history, identity, and goals.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lyons writes articles that explore the intersections of psychology, mindfulness, creativity, and human development. He is currently developing an integrative framework called Creative Activation Therapy (CreATe™), which organizes mindfulness, structured intention-setting, and creative expression into a reflective therapeutic sequence. While still evolving, the model is designed to draw on established research in behavioral activation, expressive arts, and cognitive regulation to support engagement in the therapeutic process for individuals who strongly identify with creative ways of thinking and processing.
Dr. Lyons credits his education at Touro University Worldwide with preparing him to approach clinical work with both structure and adaptability. “TUW helped me learn to facilitate an individual’s needs where they are at the time of treatment, while maintaining a clear ethical and theoretical foundation. That balance has been essential in my professional growth.”
Today, Dr. Lyons continues to expand his clinical work, writing, and professional development, guided by a commitment to thoughtful care, lifelong learning, and the integration of creativity within mental health practice. He remains grateful to Touro University Worldwide for shaping his path and supporting the development of a career centered on helping individuals build resilience, insight, and meaningful change.
ALUMNI TESTIMONIES

Coralanne Griffith-Hunte
Doctor of Psychology in Human & Organizational Psychology
Human Rights Activist
Dr. Coralanne Griffith-Hunte possesses what she calls a “willful pursuit to persevere.” In 2014, she was so debilitated from years of back surgeries and breast cancer treatment, that she had zero energy. A wife and mother of four, with several degrees and professional achievements, Dr. Coralanne, as she’s called, then 41, could have rested quietly and recuperated. “No way,” she says. “I decided to get a doctorate to make my brain work again, get it going!”
In 2018, the Barbados native was awarded a doctorate in psychology from Touro University Worldwide. Dr. Coralanne, now 49 and living on Long Island, chose the school because, “They said, ‘Tell me about you,’” she says. “I talked, they listened, they talked, I listened, we collaborated, just the way communication should work. The professors brought things out of me I didn’t even know were in there.”
Among her successes, Dr. Coralanne has received the New York State Senate 2019 Woman of Distinction Award and the 2019 Humanitarian Award; in 2020, she joined the United Nations 58th Commission for Social Development to end homelessness and assisted in developing the UN’s Resolution on Homelessness. In 2021, she spoke in Switzerland at the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, and was featured in Forbes magazine in May 2021 for her expertise on the effects of mass incarceration and post-traumatic prison disorder.
She doesn’t just dish out advice, she takes it: “It’s okay not to be okay,” she says. But with a caveat: “Don’t wallow. Get up, get going!”

Class: 2025 (Summa Cum Laude)
Doctor of Psychology in Human and Organizational Psychology
Concentration: Organizational Leadership
Touro University Worldwide (TUW) was the perfect choice for me.
As a healthcare professional, I believe that lifelong learning is essential for both personal growth and career advancement. To stay ahead in the ever-evolving fields of healthcare and medical education, I knew I needed to strengthen my leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
When searching for a program, I looked for one that was reputable, flexible, and cost-effective—TUW met all these criteria. The fully online Doctorate in Human and Organizational Psychology offered the rigorous academic challenge I was seeking, while allowing me to continue working full-time and manage my personal and professional responsibilities.
The faculty and staff at TUW were not only knowledgeable and experienced, but also incredibly supportive, creating an environment that fostered both learning and excellence. Through this program, I earned a prestigious degree that has already propelled my career forward—without a financial burden.
Just months after completing my doctorate, I was promoted to Department Administrator for the Department of Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, and I’m deeply grateful to TUW for helping make it possible.
Thank you, Touro!
