Social Media Marketing Certification

Our new Graduate Certificate in Social Media Marketing will provide you with knowledge and skills that are in high demand in an environment increasingly focused on social messaging, and use of social media.

The Social Media Marketing Certificate is 12 credits. The stand-alone cost of this certificate is $4,500. If selected as your concentration in the MBA program, it is just an additional $1,500.

Upon completion of the courses for the concentration the student will be able to:

  • Develop a social media strategy that builds relationships with target markets through social media communities;
  • Develop and execute successful social media marketing strategies that integrate with overarching marketing plans;
  • Carry out market research to create more effective marketing campaigns, improve and optimize products, and generate leads;
  • Target messaging to increasingly mobile audiences who value the opinions of others in their social media groups

Earning an MBA with a Social Media Marketing Concentration and Certificate provides you a strategic advantage in the job market, with the growing demand for marketing professionals with expertise in social media marketing. Businesses are expected to allocate nearly 20 percent of their marketing budgets to social media in the next 3-5 years, according to the American Marketing Association. Nearly 75 percent of marketing executives work for companies that are planning social media initiatives in the coming year.

Marketing job opportunities are expected to increase by nearly 14 percent over the next 3-4 years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Admission Requirements:

All of the classes for this certificate program are taught at the graduate level. Many of your fellow students in these courses will be in the process of earning their MBA from TUW. Therefore, for entrance into this certificate program, please:

  1. Go to www.tuw.edu and click on the orange "Apply Now" button in the upper right hand corner.
  2. As a non-profit organization committed to serving the underserved, Touro University Worldwide has waived the $60 application fee for all prospective students.
  3. Provide official transcripts of an earned Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

Upon completion of the course of study, the University recognizes the student with an official certificate. Most of the course work completed in the certificate can be transferred (if current and meets the requirements of the most recent course catalog) or credited to the TUW MBA degree, with courses being applied to the Social Media Marketing concentration.
